Well, it seems I'm not a very good blogger. Ha! Not a priority, but I think it doesn't hurt to have a record of thoughts. I just finished my first farmer's market this year. I was totally surprised to sell four big pieces (paintings, outdoor plaques) and very few cards. Last year, it was all cards, all day, so how to know what to prepare...? It was also entertaining to just chat with people. Most people are so kind and encouraging and positive, but every once in while I will get quite a bit of instruction! Not always kind, but sometimes on the money! I just need to remember that folks like what they like and that's ok. I've been told my painting is too "sweet", too pretty. I think it is true, i'm just not very edgy, but it's maybe it is what I wish the world was, I guess, sweeter, softer...
And big hugs to my student from years ago, who greeted me so beautifully!! Your boys- treasures, for sure!!
